The brand – first and foremost thanks to its Vitara and SX4-S CROSS models – has been leading the new-car sales in Hungary for four years. New Head of Communications at Magyar Suzuki Corporation

From late 2019 onwards, the head of Communications position at Magyar Suzuki Corporation will be fulfilled by Zsuzsanna Bonnár-Csonka. She is going to be responsible for all of the company’s corporate communications – including company branding and reputation management, press relations management, organisation of corporate communications campaigns and CSR campaigns. She will take on the role of the spokesperson and she will be responsible for the public comments, under the direct supervision of Deputy Managing Director Dr. László Urbán.

MySuzuki.hu is among the winners of the Website of the Year 2019 MySuzuki.hu received a Quality Award at the Website of the Year 2019 competition announced by the Hungarian Marketing Association and the Internet Marketing Section. Suzuki supports young Hungarian researchers doing academic work in Japan for 15 years

Japanese host university visits Suzuki plant for the first time Japan-based Suzuki Foundation presided by Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman-CEO Osamu Suzuki has been providing research scholarships to young researchers of the Budapest University of Technology (BME) since 2006. The programme supports in-depth academic endeavours and research projects and promotes international knowledge sharing in science including electronics, electricity, mechanical engineering and technical IT. Due to the good relationship between BME and Shizuoka University of Japan, representatives of the host university visited the Suzuki plant in Esztergom for the first time.

Business Results of Magyar Suzuki for 2018 are released

Magyar Suzuki Corporation dominating domestic sales in Hungary for three years now. Magyar Suzuki leads the domestic automotive market confidently with 14,12% market share. The company managed to increase new passenger car registrations by 27% in Hungary, selling 19 292 cars in 2018 58% of which – 11 127 – is the Esztergom-made crowd favourite Vitara. Magyar Suzuki Corporation sold altogether 171 885 units in 123 countries in 2018, 163 291 of which (95%) were from vehicles produced in the Danube bend, the third-largest production facility of Suzuki following Japan and India; also the single manufacturing base of Suzuki in Europe. Magyar Suzuki Corporation’s total net sales revenue reached 1953,3 million EUR by the end of 2018.

In 2018 Suzuki led the market confidently

With 19,292 passenger cars registered in 2018, far exceeding 2017 results, Suzuki sets a new record once again in Hungary. The brand confidently dominated the market during the year, increasing its share to 14,1229 percent in the domestic passenger car market. Besides the expanding commercial offer joined by the new Swift Sport, the success can primarily be attributed to the sales of the popular locally manufactured models. Following its September 2018 facelift, Vitara is a continued success story, proved to be the number one favorite of Hungarian customers still with a total of 11,127 units sold.
