The increased political-motivated interest towards our company in recent months is, we believe, extremely detrimental to any independent economic operator, and therefore any such request is firmly rejected.
In order to maintain the continuity of production and to protect our employees, Magyar Suzuki Corporation, as it has always been during its existence, refrains from any political expression or interpretation thereof.
The continuous unjustified harassment of economic operators and the disruption of proper operation are completely counterproductive in terms of protecting workplaces and production, as generating tension does not build, but endangers workplaces.
Magyar Suzuki Corporation complies with the Hungarian legislation in force and expects everyone who is interested in the company's affairs to do the same.
Magyar Suzuki Corporation has been a stable, reliable economic player for decades. Its Esztergom factory is the oldest full spectrum car manufacturing unit in Hungary, currently the only Europe-based manufacturing unit and centre for spare parts and accessories.
The company is one of the oldest employers in the region and in the country as well, it has provided long-term and stable employment opportunities for employees for 27 years. Thanks to the continuous dialogue and the working conditions, 71% of our own employees are working at Suzuki for more than 10 years.
We can thank most of our achievements and success to our colleagues. We have taken many measures in recent years which resulted from a constant and developing dialogue with the Works Council, among others, in 2018 and 2019 combined, we applied a salary increase of 30.5% for our physical employees.
We further do what is our job: we manufacture and sell vehicles, including the most popular cars of Hungary, Vitara and SX4 S-CROSS. With all of these, providing a secure livelihood for nearly 70 domestic supply partners and more than 10,000 Hungarian people.
