Three-Year Factory Modernization Program at Magyar Suzuki Corporation Now Successfully Completed

A three-year factory modernization program has been successfully concluded at Magyar Suzuki Corporation. Modernization was becoming timely for the plant, which has been in operation for 25 years, so that the Esztergom facility could fulfill the requirements of an increasingly diversified production and export to 128 countries without compromise, said the newly appointed Managing Director of Magyar Suzuki Corporation, Mr Yoshinobu Abe, at his first press conference in Hungary.

Rail Cargo Hungaria sends off 4,000th Suzuki block train

In a ceremony today, Executive General Manager of Magyar Suzuki Corporation Róbert Krisztián, also a member of MSC’s board of directors and CEO of Rail Cargo Hungaria Ltd. and chairman of its board of directors Imre Kovács sent off the 4,000th block train carrying Suzuki cars manufactured in Esztergom for exports. Launched on the 25th anniversary of the departure of the first Suzuki train, the 20 special wagons now carry 200 Suzuki vehicles to Zeebrugge, Belgium, and from there, the cars will continue their journey to several countries across the globe.

Magyar Suzuki: Shining anniversary stamped by excellent results

Magyar Suzuki Corporation achieved EUR 1,976 million in sales revenues in 2015, up 28% from the year before, the company told journalists at a press conference celebrating the 25th anniversary of its foundation. Sales of own-production cars rose from 150,578 in 2014 to 181,115 in 2015. Suzuki expects further sales growth.

Suzuki starts next quarter from market leading position

Magyar Suzuki sold 2,247 cars in Q1 2016 and leads the Hungarian new car market with a 11.41 % share. The engine of the performance is the new Vitara, of which 1,660 were sold in the January-March period. With a 27.63 % share, the Vitara is the absolute winner of the SUV segment.
