The new Vitara

The Vitara series debuted in 1988 as a pioneer in the compact SUV category and is highly regarded for its stylish design, compact manoeuvrability, comfort on-road driving and authentic all-terrain performance. 2018 marks its 30th anniversary. Suzuki’s environmental action becomes Esztergom spectacle

Family Day of Magyar Suzuki Corporation – which has become a so called tradition by now - closed with success this year as well. While last year, with 1040 people, Suzuki set up a new record for the longest ’human train’ in Hungary, this year their employees and their relatives have demonstrated their commitment to environmental protection. After completing the Green Expedition consisting of 5 stations more than 7,000 participants received coupons that can be exchanged to green plants next spring. These will be jointly planted in the nearby roundabout to establish Suzuki Ring, the latest Esztergom spectacle.

Magyar Suzuki further boosts its business performance

Exceeding previous year’s results by the sales of 15,161 units, Magyar Suzuki Corporation kept its market leader position and increased market share to 13,04% at the Hungarian passenger car market in 2017. The company sold altogether 178,624 units of its own produced vehicles Vitara and SCROSS, and sales covered 13,211 cars (wholesales) for domestic and 165,413 cars for the export markets. Vitara, the Esztergom made flag-ship model with 9,417 units sold at the domestic market has been the engine of the success, while the company achieved a 212% rise in the sales of imported models with 3107 units sold. Magyar Suzuki Corporation’s total net sales revenue reached EUR 2101.2 million by the end of fiscal year 2017.

Tiny Suzukis Help Children Learn to Drive in Esztergom

Magyar Suzuki Corporation delivers custom-made mini cars to support the road safety education of children from 6 to 12 years of age. The mini Vitara models, specifically manufactured for this purpose, will be first available to elementary students in the Children’s Car Traffic Park of Esztergom, opening on the 30th of March. HEADING TOWARDS SMART PRODUCTION—MAGYAR SUZUKI IMPLEMENTS NEW LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

As the head of a consortium, Magyar Suzuki Corporation has launched a new multiannual research & development program sponsored by the European Regional Development Fund. The GINOP-2.2.1-15-2016-00015 project aims to develop the R&D&I cooperation between universities, research facilities and the company’s suppliers to cultivate new scientific results, market-ready products, services and technologies with higher added value, and to build their first prototypes. The project’s overall budget of 5.308 billion HUF has two sources: a self-funded portion of 2.712 billion HUF and another 2.596 billion HUF granted by the Széchenyi 2020 program.
