Suzuki’s new fully electric model arrives in Hungary – Introducing the eVITARA

Sales of the new eVITARA have begun, combining the classic SUV experience with state-of-the-art electric technology, offering a range of up to 428 kilometres and 45-minute fast charging. Equipped with the new AllGrip-e system and SUZUKI CONNECT services, the eVITARA aims to set a new standard in the world of compact electric SUVs.

Suzuki has officially launched sales in Hungary for its first fully electric model, the eVITARA. This new arrival is the zero-emission version of Hungary’s most popular new car model, the iconic Vitara, blending the familiar SUV driving experience with cutting-edge electric innovation.

During development, we aimed to preserve the Vitara’s legendary reliability and off-road character while creating a model that delivers easy handling, a pleasant driving experience and zero-emission technology. New benchmark in the compact SUV world
The model features a completely new electric powertrain, specifically optimised for the SUV driving experience. With a 49 or 61 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate WLTC 4 standard battery, the eVITARA delivers a range of up to 428 km and can charge to 80% in just 45 minutes using fast charging. * Customers can choose between two-wheel drive (2WD) and all-wheel drive (AllGrip-e) versions. Suzuki’s legendary AllGrip all-wheel-drive technology has been reimagined as a dual-motor, electronically controlled system for the eVITARA. The AllGrip-e setup delivers 1.5 times more torque than the 2WD version, with AUTO and TRAIL modes adapting to various conditions such as winding roads, rough terrain, rain or snow.

The new HEARTECT-e platform integrates a large battery pack that also functions as a structural part of the vehicle’s frame. The battery is mounted beneath the floor, lowering the vehicle’s centre of gravity and enhancing overall stability. Beyond the absence of engine noise, meticulous attention has been given to minimising all other sources of sound within the cabin. The battery housing acts as a rigid structural element that dampens road noise, while sound-insulating panels and heat-reflective glass reduce wind and vibration sounds.
Technology at the core
Inside, the eVITARA puts high-tech SUV comfort at the forefront. The floating centre console, 12-colour ambient lighting, and a modern two-spoke steering wheel are complemented by a new integrated dual-screen display combining a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen. The system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and offers an intuitive, fast-responding user interface.

A premium 8-speaker Infinity audio system* with subwoofer and digital signal processing delivers rich, immersive sound. Other comfort features include a 360-degree camera*, wireless phone charger*, rear USB-A and USB-C ports, and an electric parking brake.
The eVITARA is equipped with a wide range of advanced safety and driver-assistance features* that meet today’s modern standards and expectations. These include the Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), the Secondary Collision Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). The eCall system and the Driver Monitoring System (DMS) provide the highest level of safety, while the new Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) automatically adjusts lighting according to current traffic conditions.

Total control, anytime, anywhere
The eVITARA comes with SUZUKI CONNECT, allowing owners to stay connected to their car wherever they are. Through the mobile app, users can remotely check the vehicle’s status, battery level and remaining range. The system sends low-battery alerts, charging completion notifications, and allows charging and climate scheduling. It can also alert the driver if the headlights are left on or show the car’s location.

Striking design – the “Metal Beast”
The bold styling is based on the “Metal Beast” concept, expressing strength, advanced technology and 4x4 SUV capability for any adventure. Its distinctive silhouette, long wheelbase and corner-positioned large wheels give it an aggressive, athletic stance while emphasising a spacious interior. The SUV character is further highlighted by a muscular bonnet that rises toward the upright windshield and flared wings, giving the eVITARA a powerful, confident appearance. The sculpted body and polygonal surfaces reflect both its electric identity and SUV DNA. The model is available in several single- and dual-tone paint options*, including striking shades such as sky blue and dark moss green pearl metallic. With a versatile boot capacity of up to 1,052 litres, the eVITARA combines practicality with style. It is offered in three trim levels – GL, GL+ and GLX – ensuring that every customer can find the version best suited to their needs.
