These new, modern boats combine the advantages of rubber boats – easy transportation, storage, and assembly – with the performance of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs). After inflating the floor and V shaped hull, the boat attains a firmness that would normally be expected of a conventional RIB. The aerodynamic V shaped hull provides stability at all speeds even under adverse conditions. The floor incorporates extended inflatable trim tabs behind the transom, which contribute to quick planing. These trim tabs also provide excellent directional stability and additional buoyancy at the transom, allowing the use of larger motors, if required. Every model comes with four stainless steel D rings for lifting and mooring. The tank mount is at the bow. The boats can be quickly and easily folded and they easily fit into the accompanying carrier bag. Standard equipment on the boats includes: a bench, oars, a repair kit, and a high pressure foot pump. The oversized, overlapping boat tubes are made of robustly enforced three-layer PVC and are equipped with wide rubbing strakes. The hull is made of thick double-wall polyester-filled fabric with an outer layer of ultra tough, friction and wear resistant, Shafer fabric, both of which greatly contribute to the longevity of the boat.
