Therefore, the conditions we have to face on the roads significantly influence our driving habits. According to a survey conducted by Magyar Suzuki among Hungarian drivers, four out of ten drivers change their driving habits in winter, depending on the weather, whether they use their vehicle more or less frequently . The good news is that the majority of drivers use winter tires mostly from November onwards and use any practice that helps ensure safe driving.
UNICEF Hungary is organizing a full-day conference on the occasion of the World Children's Day on 16 November at the Akvárium Club. The free event will bring together parents, grandparents, educators and professionals working with children to discuss critical issues affecting young people. The Municipality of Esztergom awarded the Ferenc Einczinger Prize to Dr. László Urbán, Advisor to the Board of Directors of Magyar Suzuki Corporation, for his work in the economic development of the city and his outstanding contribution to Magyar Suzuki. The award was presented on 23 October by Mayor Ádám Hernádi at the City Hall.
Magyar Suzuki has reached another milestone: the 500.000th S-CROSS has rolled off the Esztergom production line. The model, which has been produced in Hungary since its debut in 2013 and has been renewed twice, has come a long way in 10 years: it has won numerous professional and public awards in Hungary, and is now only available in Europe with hybrid drive.
Seven out of ten drivers react incorrectly to the arrival of vehicles using distinguishing signs. From September, dual training courses will start at Magyar Suzuki Corporation's new education centre, which was inaugurated at a ceremony on the factory premises. In 2022, Magyar Suzuki Corporation produced a total of 129 022 vehicles, and sold 128 536 cars, of which 124 561 rolled off the production line in Esztergom. 88 percent of total sales (113 817 units) were exported to 123 countries. Based on the last year’s results, the company has dominated the domestic new car sales for the seventh year in a row with a 12.43 percent share (13,859 registered new cars). The total assets of Magyar Suzuki Corporation passed the 1 billion EUR for the first time in fiscal year 2022 and returned to pre-pandemic levels in terms of sales revenew, with over 2 billion EUR. Despite all the above, profits halved last year due to a steep rise in energy, raw material and component prices. Magyar Suzuki Corporation aims to remain actively involved in the parent company's international projects, including the production of electric models.
On 9 June, Magyar Suzuki inaugurated a unique health centre, where the company will provide 15 types of outpatient specialist care free of charge to its employees, in addition to various diagnostic tests.
On the basis of the recommendation of the Board of Directors of Magyar Suzuki Corporation, the General Shareholders’ at the end of May decided that Róbert Krisztián will fill the position of Deputy Managing Director of the Esztergom-based manufacturing company from 1 June 2023. The largest thematic exhibition in the country attracted many visitors and families again this year. In addition to the vehicles, the program included concerts, family activities and games as usual. In the Suzuki tent, visitors could see products from all three Suzuki divisions (automobile, motorcycle and marine) and test their road safety skills and their luck thanks to our company's Together on the Road CSR program. The two-day expo was crowned by the traditional lantern boat parade, in which we, as an Esztergom-based vehicle manufacturer also participated with a special composition.
For all ages and the whole family, the Then and Now Vehicle Expo is a great way to recreation, with two- and four-wheelers of the past and present, as well as model planes, bicycles, dance performances and concerts. The country's largest thematic exhibition will be held for the sixth time this year on 29-30 April at the Great Danube Promenade in Esztergom. The two-day program will end with a spectacular lantern boat parade.
Protecting our environment is our shared responsibility. Magyar Suzuki also considers it important to join programs that help to protect and preserve nature. This year, the Esztergom-based manufacturing company joined the "TeSzedd! - Volunteer for a Clean Hungary" movement for the first time at company level: 55 colleagues and family members collected a total of 65 bags of rubbish.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Komárom-Esztergom County registered Magyar Suzuki as an accredited partner organization for dual training, so cooperation with the first selected school can start from September this year. The Esztergom-based manufacturing company will provide vocational, hands-on training for secondary school students of the János Bottyán Technical College, but it is planned that other vocational schools may also join the program.
The hybrid S-CROSS, manufactures in Esztergom, continues to collect awards: the S-CROSS won both the professional and the public prizes in the fourth edition of the "Hungarian Car of the Year 2023" competition.
Suzuki Motor Corporation has announced the growth strategy the company intends to implement until 2030. Suzuki Group aims to contribute to the realization of a carbon neutral society and help the economic growth of emerging countries. The center of its business activities however remains Japan, India and the European region. The first electric Suzuki models will arrive in Japan this year and in Europe in the 2024 financial year by 31 March 2025. With 13 859 registered passenger cars, Suzuki achieved a share of 12,43 percent in the domestic passenger car market in 2022. The brand is leading the domestic new passenger car vehicle sales for the seventh year now, mainly thanks to its two domestically manufactured models, the Vitara and S-CROSS. The trend has changed: the S-CROSS was the most popular model in 2022, the most of which were registered on the new car market.
