Magyar Suzuki Corporation donated the amount of money dedicated for Christmas partner gifts to local organizations again. What is more, this year, the employees of the Esztergom-based manufacturing plant had the opportunity to decide where the donations should go. Masato Atsumi, the managing director of the company personally handed over the Christmas bauble to Esztergom Rescue Station and the Bogáncs Dog and Pet Shelter.

According to a survey conducted by Magyar Suzuki among Hungarian drivers, four out of ten drivers change their driving habits in winter, depending on the weather, whether they use their vehicle more or less frequently . The good news is that the majority of drivers use winter tires mostly from November onwards and use any practice that helps ensure safe driving.

A life can depend on half a minute

Seven out of ten drivers react incorrectly to the arrival of vehicles using distinguishing signs. While most drivers encounter vehicles with distinguishing signals weekly, according to the experience of professionals and first responders, only three out of ten drivers react appropriately in such situations. The others make poor decisions or hinder the progress of sirening vehicles with delayed reactions. Yet, in many cases, a person's life can depend on even half a minute. In the "Together on the Roads - Give Way, Save Lives!" campaign by Magyar Suzuki, with the cooperation of the ambulance service, disaster management and police, they aim to draw attention to supporting those providing assistance in traffic.

Suzuki Education Centre inaugurated

From September, dual training courses will start at Magyar Suzuki Corporation's new education centre, which was inaugurated at a ceremony on the factory premises. According to a large sample survey conducted by Magyar Suzuki , 95.58% of respondents prefer to go on holiday by car. Seven out of ten people have not changed their previous travel habits: they stick to their own vehicle. They believe that it gives them ultimate freedom, it’s practical, but driving is also a fun activity, while providing a safe and predictable solution at the same time.

Magyar Suzuki Corporation increased its sales revenue by 26 percent in export markets

In 2022, Magyar Suzuki Corporation produced a total of 129 022 vehicles, and sold 128 536 cars, of which 124 561 rolled off the production line in Esztergom. 88 percent of total sales (113 817 units) were exported to 123 countries. Based on the last year’s results, the company has dominated the domestic new car sales for the seventh year in a row with a 12.43 percent share (13,859 registered new cars). The total assets of Magyar Suzuki Corporation passed the 1 billion EUR for the first time in fiscal year 2022 and returned to pre-pandemic levels in terms of sales revenew, with over 2 billion EUR. Despite all the above, profits halved last year due to a steep rise in energy, raw material and component prices. Magyar Suzuki Corporation aims to remain actively involved in the parent company's international projects, including the production of electric models.

The sixth Then and Now Vehicle Expo attracted thousands of visitors in a family atmosphere

The largest thematic exhibition in the country attracted many visitors and families again this year. In addition to the vehicles, the program included concerts, family activities and games as usual. For all ages and the whole family, the Then and Now Vehicle Expo is a great way to recreation, with two- and four-wheelers of the past and present, as well as model planes, bicycles, dance performances and concerts. Magyar Suzuki to launch dual training program

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Komárom-Esztergom County registered Magyar Suzuki as an accredited partner organization for dual training, so cooperation with the first selected school can start from September this year. The Esztergom-based manufacturing company will provide vocational, hands-on training for secondary school students of the János Bottyán Technical College, but it is planned that other vocational schools may also join the program.
