Suzuki S-CROSS wins Audience Award at Hungarian Car of the Year 2026

Once again, it was a tight competition to decide which models could claim the Hungarian Car of the Year title, as the contest – now held for the seventh time – saw thirty brands enter a total of fifty cars. Alongside the professional awards, the public vote also played a key role, and Suzuki proved unbeatable once more.

With several thousand voters participating, the online poll was won convincingly by Suzuki S-CROSS, finishing ahead of the brand’s other Esztergom-built model, the Vitara. With this, the brand secured yet another audience award – and not for the first time. Suzuki has now claimed this title four times, most recently last year with the Vitara.
Magyar Suzuki has reached an important milestone: this year marks the 35th anniversary of laying the foundation stone of its Esztergom plant. The brand’s stable presence and enduring popularity are also reflected in the consistent top performances of its models on the Hungarian new passenger car market in the audience voting year after year.
