Environmental protection

Starting with 2008 the corporate social responsibility activity of Magyar Suzuki focuses increasingly on environment protection. As the first step of environment focused approach renewed its environment protection policy in 2008 for the purpose of energy saving and protecting the natural resources.

The factory keeps the emission of volatile organic substances below 45 g per square meter, in the interest of mitigating direct emissions, in line with the provisions of law. At the same time, it will reduce till 2010 compared to the level of 2007 with 20 percent the specific quantity and cost of dangerous wasted created, with special regard to the lacquer and paint sludge generated. In the interest of reducing the indirect environmental risks, as regards the most appropriate waste material disposal, the company prefers to engage those companies for removing the dangerous wastes, which have their own dangerous material burning stations and deposit sites. Magyar Suzuki with reducing its energy consumption contributes both directly and indirectly to reducing gas emissions causing green house effects, and by optimizing industrial water usage it contributes to the protection of the subsurface water resources. The company makes efforts to increase the quantity of reusable wastes, and to reduce the specific quantity of deposited industrial wastes with 70 percent, by the end of 2010.
