'We are making every effort to continue our business smoothly.'

When the worldwide financial crisis hit the market in autumn, we considered an utmost priority to successfully respond demands reflecting the considerably altered economic conditions in our working schedule. The factory has re-adopted a two-shift two-group production scheme in order to utilize its capacities most efficiently.

In Hungary, Suzuki again managed to sell the largest volume of new cars in 2008 with the majority of production, 92% of all vehicles produced last year, destined for export. Magyar Suzuki Corporation's total revenues exceeded HUF 609 billion in 2008.

This year's target is the production of 200,000 new cars, 90% of which is to be sold on the export markets. Currently, the primary goal is to optimize costs while maintaining quality and reliability historically demonstrated through Suzuki cars. Our aim is to ensure that Magyar Suzuki Corporation remains a sustainable and profitable company at this production capacity. Our efforts are consistent with the ambitions of Suzuki Motor Corporation, which is our parent company.

Developments are to proceed as planned, focusing on the protection of the environment. Our parent company continues to work on energy-saving engines with low CO2 emissions, always considering as an important factor that vehicles produced by Suzuki must be of excellent quality.

Besides production goals, domestic sales is regarded equal priority: we do our very best to retain our position and this is not a simple matter of business. Our company considers it important to highlight that Magyar Suzuki Corporation is a truly a Hungarian company, both in name and deed. Our goal is not only to come here to invest, produce and take the profits out of the country-it is about continuous development, innovation and ongoing investments in Hungary. Our expert colleagues and professionals from other countries may come and go but our Hungarian staff remains here as does the company itself.

We consider ourselves responsible for each and every person working at our premises in Esztergom or at the suppliers and other partners or in dealerships. The company is part of the life of these people. We need to join forces and it is our firm belief that our success is based on cooperation and mutual respect.
