As a result of several years' expansion and innovation, the company reached a production capacity of 300,000 cars/year. In September, the 1.5 millionth Suzuki was manufactured.
This spring saw the Splash rolling down the production line. The all-new model intends to conquer the market with its state-of-the art outfitting coupled by a vivacious and colourful appearance. During the development of the car, low fuel consumption levels and minimized CO2 emission played a key role.
The company's environmental policy was updated and renewed.
Magyar Suzuki Corporation became the Diamond Sponsor of the Hungarian Olympic Team.
The company founds the Puskás-Suzuki Cup.
2007
Suzuki has now been the market leader in Hungary for 11 years – in terms of sales of new cars – with the Swift as the leading brand, followed by the SX4.
Expansion at the Esztergom plant continues: Magyar Suzuki Corporation prepares for the production of the new Splash by investing almost 50 billion Hungarian forints and taking on some 1500 new employees.
Sales of the SX4 sedan begin.
Suzuki is JRC (Junior Rally Championship) winner once again and successfully completes the WRC test programme.
Suzuki opens a kindergarten for its employees’ children in Esztergom.
2006
On 27th February, the first SX4 – the model created through a partnership between Suzuki and FIAT rolls off the production line. This new series of family leisure vehicles opens a new chapter for the Esztergom plant. Not only the car itself is new for Esztergom workers, but is the first one built in this category. After manufacturing small cars, this is the first time that medium-category models have been built at Hungary’s Suzuki Plant.
In October, the one millionth car is produced at Magyar Suzuki Corporation's Esztergom plant.
2005
The 4th February brings the launch of the new Swift.
On the basis of 2004, Magyar Suzuki Corporation wins the award for the “Highest increase in volume this year”.
Magyar Suzuki Corporation received the Best of the Region award for making the largest investment in the Central Transdanubia Region.

The company engineers use the experience gleaned from building the Ignis Super 1600 to create the Sport Ignis.
Manufacture of the diesel Wagon R+ and the Ignis begins.
Ignis Super 1600 is built at Esztergom.
2003Suzuki undergoes a Renaissance in Europe, with a programme aimed to further develop the company’s European infrastructure and to completely redesign the range of products.
Long term investment of 100 billion Hungarian forints begins.
The launch of the Ignis is celebrated and mass production begins.

Suzuki celebrates the tenth anniversary of the start of production with special offers and competitions.
The new Wagon R+ and the Liana Sedan are unveiled.

By the end of the year, 85,184 Suzuki cars are sold, of which 29,025 are sold in Hungary. The Swift remains the most popular car of the year, while the Wagon R+ is number four in Hungary.
The Suzuki Liana is unveiled in Hungary.

The first 30 Suzuki dealers receive their ISO 9002 certification.
Mass production of the Wagon R+ begins.
1999
The 250,000th Hungarian Swift is built.
The 100,000th Hungarian becomes the proud owner of their new Swift.

Suzuki Motor Corporation and GM sign an agreement to build a small car together.
Magyar Suzuki Corporation proves the company’s commitment to the environment by achieving ISO 14001 certification.
1997
Our car is five years old!
The Suzuki Swift continues as Hungary’s best-loved car, not only coming top in the popularity stakes, but also for competition between brands.
1996
Magyar Suzuki Corporation receives certification, that the company meets the ISO 9002 quality standards.
Suzuki takes 20% of market share for new cars in Hungary. The 100,000th Hungarian Suzuki is built in Esztergom.
1994
The 25,000th Hungarian Suzuki is sold.
The proportion of other European sales to Hungarian sales reaches 60%. The Hungarian Suzuki has become a car for Europe. The first customers are China, Italy and the Netherlands.
1993
According to the “Sales of New Cars” list, the Suzuki is the most popular car in Hungary.
The 10,000th Hungarian Suzuki is sold.
The four-door Swift sedan is now built in Hungary.
1992
Test production begins. Mass production of the 1000cc and 1300cc five-door Swift begins.
Sales of Hungarian-built Suzuki cars begin.
1991
Magyar Suzuki Corporation is set up. The owners are Suzuki Motor Corporation, Itochu Corporation, IFC and Autókonszern Corporation
The foundation stone is laid at Esztergom. The value of the investment is set at 32 billion Yen or 14 billion forint.
A gem set in the Suzuki world: the Esztergom plant is built on a site covering some 350,000 square metres.
