Suzuki provides car fleet in preparation for the London Olympics
As Diamond Sponsor of the Hungarian Olympic Committee (HOC) for four years, Magyar Suzuki Corporation (MSC) handed over a fleet of brand new Suzuki cars to Hungarian Olympic athletes and their trainers.
Represented by prestigious athletes and sports leaders, the Hungarian Olympic Committee received its new Suzuki fleet of 45 cars in a ceremony at the Budaörs sales office of Magyar Suzuki. New Suzuki Swifts and Kizashis will contribute to the everyday life of athletes and their trainers during the preparation period until the London Olympic Games.
“It is our great pleasure that the Diamond Sponsor of HOC, Magyar Suzuki Corporation has been assisting the needs of Hungarian sport in general, and of the Olympic Committee. We duly thank them for their contribution to the hard and dedicated work and also thank them for their long years of support which makes the preparation of our athletes to the London Games smoother. I firmly believe that in the future we will continue the mutual work with the manufacturer of ‘Our Car’”, Mr. Zsolt Borkai, President of HOC said in his message.
“We wish for the Hungarian team the brightest medals at the Games and hope that Suzuki vehicles will have a small part in the success of Hungarian athletes, and their coaches and trainers“, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, CEO of Magyar Suzuki added.
Among the cars provided to HOC, one was of special significance: the 2 millionth Magyar Suzuki-made vehicle, produced in July in the Esztergom factory, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the company, was handed over in Szeged to Ms. Natasa Janics-Douchev, on her very first day of returning to training after having given birth to her first child, Milana. Ms. Janics-Douchev has been driving Suzuki for the last couple of years and now continues her preparation for the Olympic Games. The 2millionth car, an Ablaze Pearl Red new Swift will help her as she commutes daily between the water field and her home.
