Suzuki Olympic Grand Race

As a Diamond Category Supporter of the Hungarian Olympic Team, Magyar Suzuki Corporation, jointly with the Hungarian Olympic Committee (MOB), invites to a Grand Race all people leading an active way of life, those interested in sports and recreation, and those who have, so far, enjoyed sports only in front of their TV sets. The Grand Race is a joint initiative of MOB and Suzuki, aiming to promote a healthier lifestyle and doing more sports.

Magyar Suzuki Corporation, jointly with the Hungarian Olympic Committee, launches an Olympic Grand Race, with the aim to call the attention of families, children and senior people to the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The Grand Race will start on June 10th, 2010, at 10 am from in front of Suzuki dealer shops at many locations in Hungary. The distance to run is 1, 2 or 4 kilometres, depending on each participant's state of health and spirit.

Some of Hungary's most outstanding athletes will also participate in the Suzuki Olympic Grand Race, and so, all those entering the race will have a chance to meet their favourite sports celebrities, whose list includes many participants of Olympic games, such as shooter Diána Igaly, swimmers Evelyn Verrasztó and Gergő Kis, hammer thrower Krisztián Pars, kayaking champion Natasa Janics, canoe champions György Kozmann and Attila Vajda, and four-time champion fencer Győző Kulcsár, holder of the Sportsman of the Nation title. Everyone entering the Suzuki Olympic Grand Race will be entitled to participate in the draw held by the Suzuki dealers that support the event, where the main prize is one-week test driving of a Suzuki car-one of each participating dealership-for adults, and a special tour of the Suzuki plant in Esztergom for school classes. Obviously, it is not the prizes but participation in the event is what is really important, as the purpose is to make people who hardly get out of their homes to do some sports.

After the runs, the day of active recreation continues by Suzuki dealers holding events and various programmes for participants of the Grand Race and their families. The new Alto, Suzuki's latest mini car will also be introduced at the event.
