Suzuki starts next quarter from market leading position

Magyar Suzuki sold 2,247 cars in Q1 2016 and leads the Hungarian new car market with a 11.41 % share. The engine of the performance is the new Vitara, of which 1,660 were sold in the January-March period. With a 27.63 % share, the Vitara is the absolute winner of the SUV segment.

According to Datahouse’s most recent figures, 886 of the 7,494 new cars registered in Hungary in March were Suzukis, cutting out a 11.82 market share for the brand. As regards the January-March quarter, the Esztergom brand sold 2,247 cars and leads the country’s market with 11.41 %.

 

Broken down by model, the three-month sales chart is as follows: 1,660 Vitaras (the model is already available with a turbo-charged engine too), 293 Swifts (which is also category leader in the B segment), 173 SX4 S-CROSSs, and 114 Celerios have been sold in 2016 to date.

 

Magyar Suzuki is popular not only among private customers: thanks to its new models, the carmaker’s fleet sales have been growing steadily too.
