Suzuki Enters into India's Light Commercial Vehicle Segment: Launches SUPER CARRY Compact Truck

Suzuki Motor Corporation’s subsidiary Maruti Suzuki India has entered into Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment for the first time in its history. Today, Maruti Suzuki announced production and launch of its first-ever LCV, SUPER CARRY compact truck. Initially, sales of the vehicle will be limited in three cities (Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata). Sales area will be expanded gradually.

SUPER CARRY is powered by 800cc two-cylinder diesel engine. The vehicle’s body offers ample load carrying capacity, great manoeuvrability, and stability. The spacious cabin is designed to offer comfort even for longer trips. All these enhance practical user-friendliness for an LCV.

India’s commercial vehicle segment market reached approximately 700,000 units in FY2015. Maruti Suzuki plans to meet customer needs of India by introducing products into the commercial vehicle segment, in addition to its main lineup of passenger cars and Multi Utility Vehicles.

SUPER CARRY is produced at Maruti Suzuki’s Gurgaon Plant located in the state of Haryana.
