Consortia research and development project

 

On 26 April 2016., the consortia created by Magyar Suzuki Corporation, PEMÜ Ltd., Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. for Applied Research and Pázmány Péter Catholic University, with the leadership of Magyar Suzuki Corporation, submitted an application for support registered under the code number GINOP-2.2.1-15-2016-00015 entitled “Development and operation of the innovative network consisting of Magyar Suzuki Zrt., its suppliers and research centers in order to develop a competitive, safe and environmentally friendly tested vehicle prototype and its economic serial production technology” to the GINOP-2.2.1-15 code number tender of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program with the subject “R+D competitiveness and excellence cooperations”.

According to the sponsor decision dated 2 August 2016., the project proposal received support; the Grant Contract was signed on 25 November 2016.

The total eligible cost of the project is 5.307.777.791 HUF, from it the cost of non-refundable grant is 2.596.090.785 HUF. The intensity of the aid is 48,91% of the total eligible cost of the project.

Beginning of the project: 01. 09. 2016.
Planned ending of the project: 31. 08. 2020.

The main goal of the project is to develop the R+D+I cooperation between Magyar Suzuki Corporation, its suppliers, universities and research centers by setting up an innovative network through which new scientific results, marketable products, services, technologies and prototypes of these are created, with a higher added value.

Planned result of the project:

Producing a new, modern, competitive, tested Suzuki prototype with the following main features: light weight, low consumption, low environmental impact, safety, re-usability of 95% of used materials, good quality, minimal maintenance and repair needs and extensive comfort and other services to the drivers and the passengers;

Setting up and operating an innovation network consisting of Magyar Suzuki Corporation, universities, non-profit research centers and suppliers;

Introducing a more modern, more efficient serial production technology resulting in quality development with putting welding robots in one network and making the MSC logistics system connecting inter-factory with the factory and the suppliers more efficient;

Establishing the further technological development of serial production by preparing the introduction of laser welding, and by developing a new polymer(s) with better mechanical qualities ensuring cost efficiency, to be applied in the production of vehicle parts manufacturing.
